Denise Lamphier has been director of integrated marketing communications and media at Central College since 2017. She leads a team charged with developing strategies and implementing initiatives to enhance the college’s recruitment and fundraising efforts. These strategies include publications, web, video and email marketing, social media, media outreach and more.
With a background in journalism and fundraising, Lamphier has extensive communications experience in the nonprofit industry in both higher education and health care. At Central, Lamphier helped lead a strategic marketing campaign to announce a new tuition price informed by data and elevated by the college’s strong brand positioning. She is passionate about developing relationships that foster collaboration and support across departments. She is a storyteller, a brand ambassador and an idea catalyst. Her team at Central has received several awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, the Annual Giving Network and the Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance, including recognition for work completed around the new tuition price announcement.
