The Making of a Student Tour Guide
This session will focus on High Point University?s selection process, training and efficiency or our wonderful University Ambassadors. By the end of the session, you will have some implementable ideas to better train student tour guides and map out an efficient campus tour route which will include cues for your guides to speak about academics, athletics, social gatherings, values, campus traditions and your college/university?s mission.

Integrating Print and Online for an Effective, Yet Economical Student Search
In the fall semester of 2009, Chowan University was able to achieve a 27% increase in full-time freshman enrollment over the fall semester of 2008. This increase was accomplished in conjunction with a nearly $200,000 reduction in recruitment marketing costs. Chad Holt will describe how Chowan strategically leveraged integrated online and offline communication campaigns to meet their objectives and achieve this record enrollment for the university.

The Student Ambassador: Your Best Ally or Worst Enemy in the Recruiting Process
This session will explore the role of the student ambassador and how to best hire, train and utilize them to help convert prospective students. Ten years ago Mitchell College had an enrollment of 300 students and an underutilized, untrained group of Student Ambassadors. Through a collaborative training effort, the Student Ambassadors have become an integral part of the recruitment process and a force on campus. They have played an integral role in achieving our current enrollment is just under 1,000.

How Community Colleges Can Use New Technology to Recruit and Retain the Masses
Community College Enrollment Managers find themselves with large enrollment increases. Large increases lead to high expectations. Maintaining historically high enrollments with limited staff will require use of mass communications tools and increase retention efforts. This session will demonstrate the use of affordable technologies available to reach thousands of potential and current students in minutes. Discussions will include limited staffing, analyzing response data provided from software and evaluating the effectiveness of mass communication efforts in recruiting and retaining students.
